The Foundation (BIU) aims to conduct research in the life sciences. In cooperation with other renowned institutions and scientific institutions, basic knowledge about toxic effects of environmental contaminants (e.g. polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons – PAHs) is obtained. BIU regularly participates in national and international research projects.
Demanding analytical methods are further developed and used to determine these contaminants.
